making sandcastles out of oblivion is now available via Magma Sphere (magma021), CDs will be available soon! This is a 7 track, 41 minute EP with two remixes from durianhead and pill, and a feature from my breakcore band bagel fanclub. the full album will be out on the 21st of April 2026.
all tracks written and produced by caybee calabash, except for tracks 3 and 5. they also play guitar, bass and analog synthesizer, with vocals on tracks 4 and 6
track 1 appears on the album "three bewildered people in the night".
track 4 is co-written and co-produced with river everett, initially appearing on the compilation "Never Again", organized by Matted Distribution.
track 6 is a heavily remixed version of a song that appears on "three bewildered people in the night", with live drums provided by guinevere laurent. thx to lavender and reaper for the screams
track 7 is an alternate, more minimal take of a song that appears on "three bewildered people in the night".
Ploy via Magic Pills has been remastered by me to fix some of the more irritating elements of the original while keeping the scrappy punky mixed fidelity elements intact. I hope this improves the album for you as much as it did for me :) I felt like this one in particular needed revisiting as it predicted a lot of the Modern Caybee Sound
