My actual name is Max C.T and I am currently based in the middle of the UK, in a dilapidated industrial city that nobody thinks about called Derby. I am currently 21 years old. I've been making the rounds in the cult online music scene by spewing out an unreasonable amount of surrealist nonsense maximalist music. Some of it is heartfelt and bittersweet, other things are scary and overwhelming, but most of it is absurdist and defies logic. I am generally known solo as apollo bitrate, though I used to put out music as SLUTPUNK! (i don't do that anymore and generally put out equivalent releases under the caybee calabash alias.) I am better known for being 1/2 of the band bagel fanclub with my friend River Everett.
I have issued records on Retrac Recordings, Winning In The Free World, First Class Collective, Fakenumberland, South England Hate Club, EMCD / Magma Sphere, and plenty of others that I either have forgotten to name or don't want to name. M.C. Escher Deathbowl is my recording studio / archaic cataloging system / sort-of vanity label. Anything that's odd and detailed enough fits under the cataloging system and I use it to differentiate between more thought out stylistic albums and supplemental EPs, while not even tagging the really shitty shit. I am currently looking to play some gigs in the UK and Europe! I have a relatively minimal setup and love to travel and play for people, and prices are generally negotiable as long as you can get me there and I can crash somewhere even if it's on the floor in a sleeping bag. I have played hour long sets in London and Glasgow and I am excited to keep up the momentum!
